			CUMMING MUNICIPAL COURT

The City of Cumming holds a Municipal Court on a minimum of two days a month, one day is an arraignment calendar and the second day is a trial calendar. If you have been issued a citation and wish to appear in Court, the time and date will appear in the lower third of the citation and is generally on a successive Wednesday and Thursday at 6 pm. Traffic charges, City Ordinance violations and some misdemeanor charges can be heard in the Cumming Municipal Court, which is located in the same building as the Police Department.

Other misdemeanor charges and all felonies will be tried in the State and Superior Courts which are currently located in the Courthouse on the Cumming City Square.

If you have any questions about a case initiated in the jurisdiction of the Cumming Police Department, you can call the Clerk of Court at 770-781-2002, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.


	Clerk of Court Robin Looper and Administrative Assistant Maxine Blazi may be contacted during normal business hours, Monday through Friday and serve as the coordinators of all City Court activity.

ON-LINE CITATION PAYMENT

Most traffic citations may now be paid on-line or in person at the Cumming Police Department prior to the Court date (listed near the bottom of the citation). However, some serious traffic charges (such as DUI, no insurance, failure to stop for school bus, reckless driving and speeding in excess of 24 miles over the speed limit, among others) require a court appearance.
