The Cumming Police Department is involved, in some way, in nearly every activity in the community. They strive to serve and protect the citizens and to make Cumming, Georgia a safe, fun and family-oriented place to live.

The department is very involved in maintaining order during the many events that take place every month of the year at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Quarter Midget Racing, a World Championship Rodeo, the Cumming Country Fair and the 4th of July Celebration are just a few of the many events that keep the department busy making sure you and your loved ones are having fun in a safe environment.

The department is a proud sponsor of the Reserve Unit, Seniors and Lawmen Together (SALT), Lanier Extended Area Drivers Education Resource (L.E.A.D.E.R.) and Northeast Georgia’s Legacy Link Volunteer Agency known as the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). By clicking on the links you will find several ways you can get involved with the department to help make Cumming a better place for you and your neighbors.
